How recommendations are ranked

We rank by operator usability, not commission size. If two services offer similar features but one pays us a $30 commission and another pays $80, we'll still recommend whichever is better for the landlord reading our article.

For example: at the time of writing, Northwest Registered Agent generally pays a smaller affiliate commission than its competitors, yet Northwest is widely considered the best option for landlord-LLC formation by experienced real estate investors. Our reviews reflect that — we recommend Northwest where it's the better choice, even when other services would pay us more.

What this affiliate revenue funds

Affiliate commissions fund the editorial and research work behind this site, including the attorney review of free templates we publish. We don't run paid advertising or sponsored content.
